In this short video submitted by Catholic Extension, we meet Father Rocendo Herrera, who introduces us to St. Patrick Church of the Holy Spirit, in Loiza, on the northeastern coast of Puerto Rico. St. Patrick Church of the Holy Spirit is the third oldest parish on the island and the only one currently in use. Located in an Afro-Caribbean municipality in Puerto Rico, this place of worship embodies a dialogue between Catholicism and the playing of Puerto Rican drums known as “La Bomba”.
