by Bhavika Agarwal (Instagram: @pleasecarrymehome) Religious sites have been here for centuries and yet we never really understood their importance in our lives. To me, beauty lies everywhere – in flowers, buildings, religious places, and everything all around. As a resident of India, a country teeming with majestic sacred sites, it’s impossible to go visit every place to appreciate all of their beauty. In Mumbai where I currently live, I had the opportunity to visit a few of these glorious sacred places myself. Here are a few of them: The first picture here shows the view of The Siddhivinayak Temple which honors Lord Ganesha.

Another place, called Haji Ali Dargah, another place of worship, is the prettiest place I’ve ever been. It is surrounded by water on all four sides. The view is breathtaking.

Ellora Caves, meanwhile, exudes its own beauty with elephants carved on the site. It has been here for decades.

I feel short of words when it comes to expressing my love and connection with these religious sites. They are filled with memories, emotions, and so much history. Everyday, thousands of people visit them and call them home. There’s so many more places to visit in India, and I just hope people understand how sacred and special they are.
